Your artwork is so soul-satisfying and rich; I am sure that is why your little birds were speechless when they first set their hungry eyes upon the drawings!

I am more than impressed with your thoughtful, detailed accounts of your maiden semester in home schooling.

The wonderful poem brought tears to my eyes . . . perhaps because now I am a new mama to my own little bird. It reminded me of a little prayer that has comforted me as I thought of my daughter during this long adoption wait. I sing this to her at night:

“Dear God, be good to me.
The sea is so wide,
And my boat is so small”

You are a role model for me . . . I can;t wait for Elizabeth to meet starling and chickadee!

I love Donna Simmons’ work for the same reason, the practicality of it all. She makes it seem like it is all quite doable. Blogs like yours help me get my inspiration! I loved your blackboard drawing and your daughter’s drawings came out well, too. :)

I think LiveEd was the only one I didn’t buy, as the converted cost was just way too expensive on top of the five (uugh) other currics that I purchased!
