Hearing the sound of ocean waves on a day when the air is so close I can barely breathe.

I’ve heard that she’s gone.  It makes me exceedingly sad that we didn’t even have a proper goodbye.

Full of August energy, she said.  I wonder what she meant.

Yes, what a difference I find between living life and trying to create a pretty picture of it.

We walked and talked about how life experiences and resources have influenced our photographic style.  Neither of us mentioned the ever-present, mysterious element of grace.

To be truly seen . . . I think it’s all anyone really desires.
